2. How can people tell if trauma from a past life is affecting them in the present:

A: Unexplained phobias, feeling stuck in life, strong likes or dislikes for certain people, feeling a strong mission to protect or care for another person

3. Do you have to believe in reincarnation for your healing methods to work?

A: No. The unconscious mind seems to respond to the healing whether the conscious mind accepts the theory or not.

4. Did you grow up believing in reincarnation?

A: Absolutely not. I was very opposed to it given my traditional Christian background.

5. How is your work different from a past life regression through hypnosis?

A: Two ways: First, we get the information through muscle testing rather than hypnosis, and second, we actually do healing work with the past life character.

6. Why do you call on spiritual support to do your work?

A: We are dealing with non-physical energies, spirits, so we need intelligence and aid from non-physical helpers—angels and spiritual guides and guardians.

7. You talk about people not knowing they are deceased—how could this be?

A: Most people do not know what to expect when the spirit leaves the physical body. We still have our other bodies which govern perception, emotion, and though. People think that because they can still see and hear whatever is going on that they still have a physical component.

8. What makes spirits get trapped so they remain earthbound?

A: Many reasons: sudden death where the person does not know what happened, head trauma or cognitive impairment, staying for a loved one, being afraid God will punish them, being caught in a state of extreme negative emotion at the moment of death—fear, anger, rage, etc.

9. Most other work with earthbound spirits treats them as EVIL and focuses on protecting the client and therapist and kicking the “hitchhiker” out of the energy field. What is your approach?

A: We treat the earthbound spirit as the client, doing surrogate energy work to help this person without a physical body heal from their trauma and get ready to cross to the light. Otherwise, if we just kick the person out of the client’s energy field, the spirit will just attach to someone else. The “Soul Detective” approach is a win-win situation as the spirit is helped and the client gets free of the vicarious trauma.

10. How can people prepare for the crossing from this world to the next?

A: On this journey there are new baggage rules: YOU CAN’T TAKE ANY BAGGAGE! Let go of all resentments and anger, forgive yourself and everyone else, and do as many acts of kindness and love as you can stuff into your lifetime!
